Singapore’s Ministry of Defence has bought 200 of our Xtag RFID-based asset tagging systems for use on equipment in its field operations.
Active Tagging is also to supply the associated computer hardware and software, which will be used to protect high value apparatus.
The tags, which are approximately 25mm in diameter and only 7mm thick, weigh a mere 10g and will be attached to the devices with a specially developed double-sided tamperproof tape. (more…)

Active Tagging’s managing director Chris Bullock has feature in a video report hosted by Yorkshire Forward’s Invest in Yorkshire marketing arm.

Thailand’s government has ordered 1,000 specialist RFID-based tags from Active Tagging to help monitor people with suspected swine flu currently being held in quarantine areas in the country.
The Xtag will be fitted to people’s ankles and will relay a signal should someone wander from a predefined safe spot.
Being only 30mm in diameter and 10mm thick, each Xtag weighs a mere 10mg and are held in place by a soft tamperproof Velcro strap. (more…)

Active Tagging has won a major contract in the Kuwait, Bahrain and Dubai to install its Xtag baby security system into 200 public hospitals.
The first phase of the multi-million pound contract is for 20 maternity departments, and completion of the project will ensure that new-born babies are kept in a safe and secure environment.
The Xtag system is already in place in many hospitals across the UK, and moving into new territories forms an essential part of the company’s strategy for growth. (more…)
